4 min de lecturaActualizado temporada 2025–2026The twin villages of Caviahue and Copahue sit in the shadow of the active Copahue Volcano in northern Neuquén province, creating one of Patagonia's most unique camping environments. Caviahue, the larger village on Lago Caviahue, serves as the year-round base, while Copahue — accessible only in summer — is famous for its volcanic hot springs and thermal mud baths. For car campers, this region offers an extraordinary combination of volcanic landscapes, ancient araucaria forests, cascading waterfalls, and natural hot springs to soak in after a day of hiking.
