Otoño in Valdivia

Valdivia, often called Chile's most beautiful city, sits at the confluence of the Calle-Calle, Valdivia, and Cruces rivers in the Los Ríos Region. Founded in 1552 by Pedro de Valdivia, it blends Spanish colonial history, German immigrant heritage, and a vibrant university-town culture into something uniquely appealing.

Autumn, from marzo through mayo, is an enchanting time to visit. The city's abundant tree-lined streets and riverside promenades turn golden and amber, with European species planted by German settlers mixing with native southern beeches to create a rich fall palette.
