Cancellation Policy

1. Tour deposits

Requesting a tour costs nothing. Once Verónica or Barbara confirms it with the operator, a deposit of 15% of your party's price (minimum US$10, rounded to the nearest US$10) is charged to the card you gave us. Until then the amount is only held — authorized, not charged — and if we cannot confirm, the hold is released untouched. Your bank may take a few business days to show the release. A hold lasts seven days. If we have not confirmed by then it lapses on its own and you can place it again from your request page. You pay the operator the balance on the day of the tour.

2. Cancelling a confirmed tour

Once a tour is confirmed, the deposit is non-refundable: the operator has held your place and turned others away for it. If your plans change, write to us from your request page as early as you can — exceptions are decided person to person, not automatically, and we will always tell you what we can do. If the operator cancels a confirmed tour, your deposit is refunded in full to the original card.

3. Car rentals — Free Cancellation

You may cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before your pickup time. If your booking is not yet confirmed, the hold on your card is released; if it has already been charged, we refund the full amount to the same card. Please note that it may take several business days for your bank to release a hold or show a refund, depending on your card issuer.

4. Car rentals — Late Cancellation

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before your pickup time are not refunded.

5. Car rentals — No-Show

If you do not pick up the vehicle at the agreed time and location without prior notice, the full rental amount may be charged. PatagoniaHub and the operator are under no obligation to contact you before processing a no-show charge.

6. Operator Cancellation

If an operator cancels your confirmed booking, you will be eligible for a refund of captured charges, subject to review. PatagoniaHub is not obligated to find alternative arrangements and is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential costs incurred due to operator cancellations (e.g., alternative transport, accommodation changes, travel disruptions).

7. Car rentals — Security Deposit

The security deposit (damage hold) is not part of the online payment. The rental company places it on your card at pickup. After the vehicle is returned in satisfactory condition as determined by the rental company: - The hold is released (not captured). - Release times vary depending on your bank and may take several business days. If damage or other issues are identified, the rental company may capture part or all of the deposit. Disputes regarding deposit charges should be directed to PatagoniaHub for mediation, though final determination rests with the rental company.

8. Refund Process

Refunds, when applicable, are processed through Stripe and returned to the original payment method. Processing times vary and depend on your bank or card issuer. PatagoniaHub is not responsible for delays in refund processing by third parties. All amounts are in USD. Exchange rate fluctuations are your bank's responsibility.

9. How to Cancel
