Overview

The Carretera Austral stretches over 1,200 km through Chile's Aysén and Los Lagos regions, passing through some of the most spectacular and untouched landscapes on Earth. For fly fishers, it represents the ultimate road trip — every few kilometers brings a new river, lake, or stream holding wild trout. From the Río Palena in the north to the Río Baker in the south, the route connects dozens of world-class fisheries.
